The MLI Cable is an active USB adapter cable. It incorporates communication electronics within the A-type USB plug.
The MLI Cable is required to communicate with our dataloggers. However you do not need a cable for every instrument you owne. A single cable can be used with many instruments.
Displacing some of the communication electronics from the instrument to the cable allows us to lower the cost and size of the instrument. This provides savings in situations where the customer has to manage several instruments, because then only one cable needs to be purchased.
